A new journal of letters. Seeks submissions of emergent poetry & prose
which gestures/thinks in around with through against histories (of
capital & labor flows global markets trade agreements arts forms
bodies states cities societies resistances migrations movements
ideologies ideas etc.) & systems.

First issue will be handsomely photocopied & distributed as widely as
funds allow in the first month of 2008.

Reading period: now through December 1st, 2007.

P-queue call for work- Jan. 1st

P-queue  is a SUNY Buffalo-based journal of poetry and poetics, and we are currently seeking submissions for our 2008 volume. P-Queue is
interested in 'hybrid' work—what toggles between poetry & prose, critical & creative, "academic" & "non-academic," the visual & the written.

For Vol. 5 (the first in our second series!), we're especially interested in the question of "care."

To this end, we'll be more inclined to consider collaborations, conversations, collocations, correspondences, and the like. These are of course loosely
and widely interpretable, but what we want is a representation of ways of being together in language, ways of being in language together.

Consider:
-selections from letters ('literary' or otherwise)
-conversations (recorded, repeated, replayed, etc.)
-collaboration: in composition, in editing: work that widens the scene of writing, the scene of reading
-collocation: the prosodic or the rhetorical: work that calls us to it, calls us together, to space created

And as always, we’re looking to question genre and convention (and to question the _questioning_ of genre & convention!).

Our covers are (lovingly, care-fully) letterpressed, the journal often include images and 'manipulated' texts, and we pride ourselves on the
appearance of the publication. P-Queue is published annually (the 2008 yearbook will appear in Summer 08). To receive full consideration, please try
to submit work by Jan. 1.

Oxford Magazine is an online literary magazine edited and published by
graduate students at the Department of English at Miami University of
Ohio. Since our premiere in 1984, our journal has received Pushcart Prizes
for both fiction and poetry, and has published authors such as William
Stafford, Robert Pinsky, Stephen Dixon, Andre Dubus, and Stuart Dybek. In
1997, Writers Digest named Oxford Magazine one of the fifty best fiction
markets.

We are currently accepting submissions in poetry, fiction,
nonfiction/essays, and new media. Our deadline for issue 21 is March 1,
2007. To submit to the magazine via e-mail, please direct your work to the

TWO LINES Call for Submissions

TWO LINES is currently accepting work for our 2007 annual anthology of international writing. Deadline: October 12, 2006.

What to Submit
Original translations into English of writing from any genre—including fiction, poetry, drama, reportage, proverbs, song lyrics, diaries, oral histories, case studies, essays—and short articles concerning the translation process will be considered.

Translations from any language will be considered. Especially sought are works in new genres and rarer languages. We also highly encourage submissions of writing from non-European authors. Previously unpublished work only.

We are not soliciting work around a theme for TWO LINES 2007. If a theme emerges from some of the submissions we accept, they will be gathered in a thematic section. No work will be accepted or rejected for TWO LINES 2007 based on whether it matches a particular theme.

We highly encourage everyone who submits to TWO LINES to read a copy before submitting. Several issues are now on sale on our website at www.catranslation.org

Please read the full submission guidelines on our website before submitting. Please note that the translator cannot also be the author, unless the work submitted is a co-translation.
